A safe pair of hands for advice
EnviTec’s HSE Team
One service offered by EnviTec Biogas Betriebs GmbH & Co. KG is the comprehensive advice and expert knowledge provided by the Health, Safety and Environment Team – or HSE Team for short. This also includes safety inspections for plants requiring a licence as per section 29a of the Federal Emission Control Act (BImSchG): as a licensed appraiser (BImSchG section 29b(1)), our Safety Engineer Friso Reinecke is fully authorised to conduct such inspections.
All records of safety inspections for plants requiring a licence and safety-related documentation can be required and requested by the competent authority according to BImSchG section 29a, and therefore constitute a legally binding requirement. Particularly in fields of business subject to the Hazardous Incident Ordinance – such as biogas production or biogas upgrading plants – technical and organisational safety aspects are a priority for both construction and operation.
Together with Christian Albers, who specialises in the field of water management law, the HSE Team offers a comprehensive package of consulting services for plant operators needing advice on achieving regulatory compliance.
Alongside consulting and planning support, the team is also available to advise on all safety-related inspections for the following types of plant (1.2.2.2, 1.15, 1.16, 8.6.3, 9.1.1.2, 9.36), in accordance with BImSchG section 4:
- Combustion engine plants for gaseous fuels (CHP)
- Biogas production plants
- Biogas upgrading plants
- Plants for the biological treatment of manure for biogas production
- Plants used for the storage of flammable gases
- Plants used for the storage of manure or digestate
Other services provided by the HSE Team include:
- ‘Ex inspections’ – for plants requiring monitoring in accordance with sections 15 and 16 of the German Occupational Safety Ordinance (BetrSichV) in potentially explosive atmospheres
- Guidance on the topic of occupational safety, including safety specialist advice
- Preparation of fire safety plans or plans aimed at preventing emergency incidents
- Training on the TRGS 529 or TRAS 120 technical rules, also specific to your own company needs
- Support or consulting on hazard analyses for your plant conversions
